Who are we?
Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA is a division of the global Aimbridge Hospitality brand. We manage over 1,600 hotels and resorts worldwide that include big brands such as Hilton, Accor, Marriot and IHG as well as small independent hotels and everything in between, including a portfolio of prestigious hotels in Ghent.
Based in the heart of the historic city centre and situated on the banks of the famous Leie River, the Ghent Marriott boasts 150 bedrooms, 9 meeting and events spaces, a destination restaurant and a terrace overlooking the canal.
Just a few kilometres from the Marriott lies the Residence Inn – a chic extended-stay hotel, boasting 105 self-catering apartments. Opened in 2020, Belgium’s first Residence Inn has quickly risen to become a local market leader.
In addition to these two iconic hotels, our owners are in the process of developing an additional property meeting centre in the city that we aim to open in the next 2 years.
Due to internal progression, we are now looking for an experienced Financial / Business Controller with a passion for hospitality to oversee business controls and reporting for these exceptional properties.

A Day in the Life of
As the Hotel Finance / Business controller, you will collaborate with the Hotel General Managers and the Aimbridge team to oversee the financial operations of the Marriott properties in Ghent. This includes preparing budgets and forecasts, cost control and financial planning analysis.
At the hotel level, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of hotel assets, reporting presenting the financial state of the hotels to the General Managers of the hotels, the Aimbridge team the owners. You will also provide recommendations to improve hotel profitability.
As the primary contact for all financial and accounting matters, you will liaise with the Aimbridge team the owners, to contribute to good cooperation and flow of information towards these shareholders
To be successful in this role
You will have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience within a Finance Management role, ideally within a branded hotel environment. As part of a multi-lingual team in the heart of a popular tourist destination, you will be proficient in English and preferably Dutch or French with the ability to collaborate and influence across all departments.
